Welcome Back!

Welcome to Hodgeman County Jr/Sr High School! I am very excited for the start
of a new school year. We have so many exciting things going on here and new staff to introduce. Mrs. Jennifer Lee will be teaching K-12 Art and Mr. Ryan Burke will be teaching Ag Education and sponsoring the Future Farmers of America. Please check out their web pages as well as the rest of the faculty to get to know them better and to see classroom expectations, schedules and contact information.

We are committed to providing a positive learning experience for each
student here at Hodgeman County Jr/Sr High. We are continuing to move forward with each
student having their own Individual Plan of Study and an Advisor to help
them along the way. We will continue with our monthly Character Education Programs and we are excited about starting our second year with the student advising program, Xello. This program will allow students to check out careers, job shadow professionals and research colleges, universities and technical schools interactively. This program is accessible at school and at home.

Our main focus this year at Hodgeman Co. Jr/Sr High is to focus on being a school with Character. We will be working with students to choose behaviors that include ownership, accountability, respect, citizenship and responsibility. We are working toward staying away from behaviors like blaming, complaining, and defending. We are asking students, staff, parents, and anyone else who is a part of our school to help us with this focus. Our mission statement includes “to maintain a caring, safe environment and to provide a total education system in which all students acquire the attitudes and competencies necessary to achieve their highest potential.” We believe our focus this year will help do just that.

Again, I am humbled and honored to be a part of the staff here at Hodgeman County
Jr/Sr High School. This building is full of great staff and students and I feel very blessed to get to spend my days here. We continue our commitment to work together with parents and community to provide the best education we can for each student. Please feel free to call or stop by the school if you have any questions and make sure to check out the calendar to keep up with all our activities.
