AUSTIN RUFF 2015 HODGEMAN COUNTY SPELLING BEE CHAMPION
Launch the media gallery 1 playerForty students, grades 4-8, competed in the 2015 Hodgeman County Spelling Bee on Friday, January 23rd. Austin Ruff won first place and was declared the Hodgeman County Champion. Jaydon Hahn was the runner-up, receiving second place; followed by Tyler Endecott, third place; Koryn Stapleton, fourth place; Nicole Nuss, fifth place, and Sailor Seiler, sixth place.
Austin Ruff will represent Hodgeman County in the Hays Daily News Sunflower Spelling Bee on March 7, 2015 at Fort Hays State University in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center at 9:00 AM. The Sunflower Spelling Bee is a regional Scripps National Spelling Bee. The winner of the Sunflower Bee receives an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. for the national competition.
